THIS WEEKS ASSIGNMENT
I. Choose a Nursery Rhyme -->http://www.zelo.com/family/nursery/
II. Create the powerpoint cartoon using the Rhyme
III. USE THE GUIDELINES LISTED:
  1. Readable fonts (being consistent throughout the entire slide show makes for a better looking assignment)
  2. Font sizes that can be read from the back of the room
  3. One slide for each line of the rhyme
  4. Use appropriate backgrounds that fit with the story and subject of the rhyme (you may have to create your backgrounds instead of using the pre-made apply designs)
  5. Use appropriate graphics that fit with the story and subject of the rhyme (you may have to create and draw your own graphics instead of using the pre-made clip-art)
  6. Animate a graphic (moving of a graphic – not just a custom animation)
  7. Animate some text (custom animation is fine)
  8. Use slide transitions between slides where appropriate
  9. Use sound (from the Microsoft Office Program – pre-installed sounds)
  10. Find and use a sound bite from the Internet
  11. Everything should be set to run automatically (no mouse clicking at all)
  12. Setup to turn-on as soon as it is opened (I will show you this)
  13. A title page containing: the name of the Rhyme and who is responsible for creating the rhyme (who wrote it (if you can find that on the Internet – Bonus if you do) and who prepared the
  14. PowerPoint Project [your name])
  15. Bibliography slide containing: siting all resources you use to create this project. Site website of web pages you visited and took information from (where you got the words to the rhyme), books used, and etc. (Must use www.noodletools.com in order to format your bibliographies correctly – you can copy and paste the information from the site, but you have to know the information to create the bibliography first.) Example of a bibliography of a web page:

  18. A closing slide – A the end slide of some kind. Be creative.
  19. Bonuses:
  20. If you don’t use any of the pre-made graphics or anything off the web – if you draw and create all of your pictures and backgrounds, etc. you will receive bonus points
  21. If you discover something new or put something in your slide show that isn’t
  22. If you have recorded voice of someone in your slide show (you will have to coordinate this with me).
